Greg Lauer, Esq.

Greg Lauer is a Civil Rights Attorney practicing law in South Florida.  Mr. Lauer has a reputation for competent, aggressive, and personalized representation of clients.  He is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and is a Board Certified Criminal Trial Attorney.


Mr. Lauer has had multiple large verdicts in Federal Civil Rights cases & successfully resolved others outside of the courtroom.  

  • In September of 2016, a Federal Court Judge awarded $6.2 million dollars to two women Greg represented who were the victims of a heinous sexual attack by uniformed police officers.
  • In March of 2012, he obtained a $175,000 Federal jury verdict in a Miami police brutality case.
  • In March of 2011 Mr. Lauer obtained a $1.2 million Federal jury verdict in a case dealing with violation of the Eighth Amendment rights of a Lee County inmate. After oral argument before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals the verdict affirmed was affirmed.  
  • Greg has been successful in settling numerous Federal Civil Rights cases dealing with Constitutional Rights violations of Broward Jail inmates.  

Greg currently represents individuals in the following areas: medical malpractice, wrongful death and civil rights violations dealing with correctional medical injuries and police misconduct, and negligence lawsuits resulting in serious bodily injuries.  


In addition to his trying numerous State and Federal civil cases, Greg, a former State Felony Prosecutor, has tried over 80 jury trials and handled thousands of criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to first-degree felonies.  Mr. Lauer has trial experience with D.N.A., blood-spatter, accident reconstruction, ballistics, toxicology, and examination of expert witnesses.


Greg Lauer graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and was a member of the University of Texas Longhorn Football Team. Mr. Lauer obtained his juris doctorate degree from the Baylor University School of Law in Texas.  He is admitted to practice in the State of Texas, the State of Florida, U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

Christina Currie, Esq.

Christina Currie founded Lauer & Currie, P.A. with Mr. Lauer in 2012.  Ms. Currie, realizing that most clients find the legal process to be extremely stressful, prides herself on providing excellent customer service and legal representation.  Like Greg, Christina currently represents individuals in the following areas: medical malpractice, wrongful death and civil rights violations dealing with correctional medical injuries and police misconduct, and negligence lawsuits resulting in serious bodily injuries.  Ms.  Currie handles probate cases where the firms' clients have lost a loved one due to medical malpractice and/or Civil Rights violations.  


Prior to practicing law, Ms. Currie held a Series 22 FINRA license and worked among multiple Senior Investment Professionals who collectively had approximately $100 million in assets under management.  


Christina graduated from Florida Atlantic University where she majored in Business Administration and minored in Marketing. She obtained her juris doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University.  Christina is licensed to practice law in Florida State and Federal courts.  Ms. Currie was appointed to the Fort Lauderdale Citizens' Police Review Board in 2015 for which she has held the position of elected Vice Chair since 2016.
